Team Escape Velocity Grand Prix of Cyclocross

The fourth annual Escape Velocity Grand Prix of Cyclocross presented by Escape Velocity Cycling team will be a flat-out race for cyclocross glory! It will be a mostly flat-out grass-and-gravel course, set against the charming backdrop of the Fraser River. The course will be a weather dependent: maybe fast, maybe pure power. Trash talk is encouraged but please play nice.
Note that mountain bikes are allowed in most races. You must use a cyclocross bicycle (disc brakes are ok) in the "A" categories. No tandems.
Registration & Schedule
- Sign on opens at 8:30 am and closes 10 minutes before your start time
- $25 for pre-reg. $30 on-site.
- You must present your racing license and a signed waiver at registration to get your number.
- UNLICENSED RIDERS: Canadian residents may purchase a one-day Cycling BC license for $30 at sign-up. One day insurance is $10. $30 if you want extended medical. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate US riders who do not have a UCI license.

- 10:40 Kids Cross (10 minute race)
- 11:00 Open B Men / Open Women / Master Women (45 minute race)
- 12:00 Elite Men (60 minute race) / Master 35+ Men (45 minute race)

Parcours
This race is set in Foreshore Park in Burnaby. It is mostly flat, and features a course with lots of grass, some wide and fast hardpack gravel, and a few technical bits.
