Escape Velocity Intermediate/Novice Cyclocross Clinics

Cyclocross: Interested in getting your feet wet, muddy, and having a blast on a bike?
This 4 week program is targeted towards those new to cyclocross or with moderate experience with the discipline. This program develops fundamental bike handling skills along with providing riders with specific strength and conditioning guidance. During this 75 minute sessions riders will work on strong movement patterns, agility and balance along with the speed and skills required to have fun at cross.
When/Where: 6pm -730pm, Sept 6th Vanier PArk, Sept 13th Jericho East Park, Sept 20th New Brighton Park, Sept 27th TBA
What: Bring your CX bike, gear for the weather and a good sense of humour
Cost: $130 (EV club members - $100)
About the Instructor Barb Morris:
Barb has been coaching for over 20 years, racing for over 25, and is passionate about
bringing people to the sport of cycling as a newcomer, or helping experienced riders
with their goals of being the best they can be.

Week 1 - Intro to the program, FUNdamental movements and SAQ (speed, agility, quickness). Core drills. Skills review and practice.
Week 2 - Progression of movements, skill building, intervals that count! Balance and agility.
Week 3 - Progression of program, starts and stairs.
Week 4 - Sprints, sand and slopes.
Includes a program reference guide and 4 week training program for cross.
