Brian Jessel BMW “Last Tuesday Nighter” closes out Vancouver road criterium season
Mark Tuesday, September 12, 2017 on your calendars, when the Brian Jessel BMW “Last Tuesday Nighter” will close out the road cycling criterium race season in Vancouver.
The event marks the end of this year's World Tuesday Night Championship criterium series, and all proceeds from the event will go to support our youth programs, DEVO and Cannondale pb Fortius.
Riders will get a chance to race under the lights on Brian Jessel’s marquee lot at Boundary and Lougheed in one of three events: A youth race will kick off the night, followed by a corporate team challenge. The Elite Team Criterium will then cap off the night’s racing, with the fastest riders battling it out for the right to claim the “Last Tuesday Nighter” title – with room for only 12 teams, this is guaranteed to be a hard fought race.
If racing's not for you, come out to enjoy a BBQ, guest appearances, a raffle, and music throughout the night, all in support of youth cycling; in addition to offering up the thrill of short-lap racing around a tight course, this event is raising money for DEVO, one of Canada’s premiere youth development cycling programs. Founded in 1999, DEVO fosters athlete development at all levels – from the very beginner, to helping launch the careers of some of Canada’s top cyclists.
You can join the night of racing and celebration by entering the corporate team challenge, racing for the “Last Tuesday Nighter” title, or purchasing a spectator ticket (only 200 available) to enjoy the festival atmosphere, dinner, music, raffle, and race. Event details and tickets are available here.
