And now a word from Jeremy Storie, our dEVo coach, on an excellent road trip:
No, seriously. The willing participant in this diabolical experience was none other than Escape's own Alex Pope, who earlier this month went to
Hell Vancouver Island for the Eau de Hell, which even by pain-loving cyclist standards was pretty extreme.
So here's some excerpts from Alex's mileage log for that week:
April 7th: ride 200 km
April 8th: ride 300 km
April 9th: no entry recorded. He probably just wrestled Cerberus
EV is presently changing (rather dramatically!) the nature of our website.
In the short term, this will simply be a pain for you, gentle reader. A few things will get a bit haywire, most likely.
We promise you, we have important reasons for making these changes, but the best summary would be "we are messing with the website so that the web master does not go crazy."
And really, that's always a good justification.
We will return to bike-racing related content, or at least more photos making fun of club members, shortly.
Well, that was a bit crashy, eh?
Tom Fairs, who both works for and rides for EV sponsor La Bicicletta Pro Shop, got caught up in one of the numerous crashes in the Cat 4/5 race at Harris-Roubaix this weekend.
Tom broke 9 ribs, punctured a lung, and will likely be in the hospital for another week. He will probably be at home for another six weeks or so of recuperation after that.
